The Knuckleheads Winter Recreation Association relies on the support of passionate individuals who share our love for the backcountry. By becoming a member, volunteering your time, or donating to the cause, you help preserve and enhance access to the beautiful trails, cabins, and alpine terrain that make the Knuckleheads region one of the most stunning winter destinations.

Become a member of Knuckleheads Winter Recreation and support our efforts to provide unforgettable winter experiences in our local backcountry.  Membership fees go towards trail & hut maintenance, building of new huts, stocking of propane and fuel for huts, winter trail grooming, events, and education. Whether you snowshoe, quad, ski, snowmobile, hike, sled or use the trails in any other way this is a great way to get involved and stay informed about awesome things to come!

  • Family Membership – $50 per year (up to 4 members)

Donations for Cabin Stays

The Knuckleheads cabins provide an incredible experience for backcountry adventurers. While we offer the cabins as first-come, first-served, we kindly ask that visitors make a donation to help with the ongoing maintenance and care of these cabins.

Why Donate for Your Stay?

Your contribution directly supports:

  • Cabin Repairs & Upkeep – Ensuring the cabins remain safe, warm, and welcoming for all visitors.
  • Trail Grooming & Snow Clearing – Maintaining access to the cabins through safe and well-kept trails.
  • Sustainability Efforts – Preserving the Knuckleheads region for future generations to enjoy.

How to Donate for Cabin Stays:

  • Suggested Donation: $20 per night per person (or more if you can!)
  • How to Donate:
    • Cash Donation – Leave a donation in the cabin’s donation box at Townsite Market.
    • Online Donation – You can etransfer us before or after your stay at kwrapr@gmail.com

Volunteer with Us!

Our volunteers are the backbone of the Knuckleheads Winter Recreation Association. Whether you're interested in trail work, cabin maintenance, or event support, there’s a role for you. Volunteering is a fantastic way to get more involved, meet other outdoor enthusiasts, and make a direct impact on the preservation of the Knuckleheads region.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Trail Grooming & Snow Clearing – Help keep our snowmobiling and skiing trails in top condition.
